This Programme aims to cover several important practical solutions of Computerised Accounting for professionals and beginners. The learning outcomes of each module are mapped onto accounting related cognitive and practical abilities.
In addition this can be considered as an exceptional qualification and when getting selected for employments in the fields of Accounting and Finance in Public and Private sectors organisations. Programme is designed for few target groups such as; relevant undergraduates to provide business oriented practical aspects, job seekers to enter into job market as computerised accounting technicians, clerical employees to get converted them into a growing field of computerised accounting technicians.
The learning outcomes of the programme are:
- Understand the Fundamentals of ICT and acquire the basic skills in the use of a Personal Computer in a network environment
- Understand the basic concepts and processing of accounts data
- Use MS Word for basic word processing and MS Excel for basic spread sheet applications
- Compare and contrast the features of five accounting packages –SAGE Simply Accounting, Quick Books, MYOB, SAGE 50, and Tally
- Use a Personal Computer for accounting and functional areas in a business organisation such as – create chart of accounts, inventory management, sales and purchasing, income and expenditure recording, create and maintain ledger accounts, generate reports in accounting and related functional areas
